The new U.S. Census numbers are out, and they confirm what state figures had announced earlier: Palm Coast has overtaken Deltona as the largest city in the Volusia-Flagler area. They also suggest that Daytona Beach has regained its growth mojo. The Census count for cities with more than 50,000 people as of July 1, 2022, put Palm Coast as the nation's 18 th fastest-growing city with a smoking 10.3% population increase since 2020, making it the fifth fastest-growing city with over 50,000 people in Florida.
